Happy New Year to all – now PLEASE READ this post !

Happy New Year to all Collector’s Paradise customers! (and if you are not yet a customer, you should really check us out, we did just win “Best Comic Book Shop in LA County” award for the 2nd year in a row, we must be doing something right”.

Last year was a very successful one in many respects, despite the bad economy. We got a new employee, Andy Leigl, who’s so far worked out beyond our wildest expectations, and whom I can not see the store without in the nearest future. We have made the store MUCH better looking, both inside and outside, finally getting very close (never there, though, not while I am around) to the type of store that I think Collector’s Paradise SHOULD be. We have created a huge variety of exciting events, like we have never done before, and had an amazing array of guests at the store for our customers to meet, from Len Wein (creator of Wolverine) to Jim Mahfood (a brilliant “street” artist). We have opened our new Gallery, which has added a lot of depth and, hopefully, maturity to our store. We have established excellent relationships with local publishers like Boom Studios!, Top Cow, Radical, Aspen and Archaia, which have led to and hopefully will lead to much more projects together in the months and years to come. I even got to act in a real movie, shot at the store (something that you will hear much more about as it nears completion, but for now, google “Milo Ventimiglia Ultradome”).

So the reason the title asks you to PLEASE READ this post is not for me to keep telling you how cool we are and what awesome things we have done and will do in the near future. I can do that in person much better, just ask me (I hope the humor of this comes through on the page, I am not being serious). I am here to ask you this:

WHAT CAN WE DO BETTER?
WHAT HAVEN’T WE DONE WELL?
WHAT DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD START DOING?

You can send me an email through the form below. If you don’t want me to know who you are, fake the “required” name and email address, I won’t hold that against you. I would love to hear from you, even if it’s something that I won’t like hearing.

I really hope I get to hear from LOTS of you. I can’t promise that everything will be adjusted to your personal liking but everything WILL be heard and filed away.

Thank you, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
